Honorary Membership “Because I Try!”

The founder of The ABBIT Society Program, Sandy Wood-Dunham, knows from her teaching experience that there are students who may not be capable of making all A’s and B’s no matter how hard they try! Because of this realization, she designed The ABBIT Society Honorary Membership so all students have reasons to do their best work in the classroom!

The ABBIT Society Honorary Membership suggested guidelines are:

  • A student should be recognized as not able - or likely - to meet the usual A’s and B’s required for standard ABBIT membership.
  • All teachers, of a student being considered for Honorary Membership, should agree the student is deserving of the Honorary Membership.
  • The student must have shown improved effort in the classroom.
  • The student must have shown good behavior in the classroom.
  • The student must have completed all required assignments on time.
  • The student’s school attendance must be satisfactory to school officials or teachers.
